CHILDREN'S CHOICE STATE BOOK AWARDS
Most states in the United States have a children's choice book award program.
Each state has different guidelines for how their program works. Generally, however, a committee
of children's librarians select a list of books, published in the previous year,
that are especially notable. Children in the state are then encouraged to read a certain
number of books on the list and then to vote for the book that they liked the most.
